Margarita is considered one of the most popular cocktails, which can be recognized by its delicious, special taste and bright colors. But you may not have heard of its version called red margarita: a drink with which you can end this summer in elegant style.
The red margarita is slightly different from the classic one spicy taste, thanks to its main ingredient: chili. You can also prepare it without any problems beginners, and with it you will undoubtedly provide a carefree summer atmosphere.
Red Spicy Margarita
Ingredients
- Ingredients for tequila:
- 3 sliced chilies
- 200 ml of tequila
- a pinch of red pepper powder
- pinch of salt
- ice cubes
- dried lemon for garnish Ingredients for chili mix:
- 1 liter of water
- 150 g of dried red chilies
- 200 ml triple sec liqueur
- 200 ml of elderberry syrup
- 200 ml of mashed raspberries
- 150 g of powdered sugar
Directions
- Soak 3 sliced chilies in 200 ml of tequila and leave for about 2 hours. You can store liquid that you will not use for up to 1 week.
- Then start preparing the chili mix. Mix all the ingredients, making sure that the sugar is completely dissolved. Then set the mixture aside for 1 hour.
- Strain both mixtures, then combine 120 ml of the first mixture and 60 ml of the chili mix. Blend the mixture with the ice cubes in a kitchen blender. Then pour the red margarita into the glass.
- Mix salt and paprika powder and decorate the rim of the glass with the mixture. If desired, add dried lemon for decoration. Cheers!
