Sensual dancing or pole dancing is a unique form of recreation that awakens sensuality and femininity in women, increases self-confidence, restores faith in one's own body, shapes and strengthens it. It is a combination of dance movements, pilates and yoga, which is also performed with the help of a pole.

Today, stereotypes about beauty are imposed on women, so they are often insecure and burdened with their appearance. This method of exercise, however, encourages female sexiness, because they feel their body again and accept it as it is.

The history of sensual or pole dancing

The roots of pole dancing go back to the earliest times ancient erotic dances, pagan and ritual dances during the time of the Sumerians and the ancient Romans. Others associate it with Chinese acrobats from the 12th century. The third with the traditional Indian acrobatic sport Mallakhamb. This involves a wide variety of movements and positions on the pole, which contain a balance of strength, agility and precision. Some compare it to the provocative Hoochie coochie dances performed by dancers at various traveling fairs and tents in the 1800s. In 1968, however, an artist made her mark in the history of dance Belle Jangles. Her performance in a nightclub was the first officially recorded dance of this kind. Later, the dance took over the entire United States, Australia and Europe and began to move from strip clubs and nightclubs to gyms and dance studios. Today, it is a sports discipline that requires a lot of effort.

How pole dancing is performed

It is a combination of "floor" and standing dance, which lasts 120 minutes. Part of the training is done in a lying position, without the use of mirrors. A case of elements of sensual dance, where you perform elements similar to yoga and pilates with low light, music and with your eyes closed. Here you know, feel, love and discover your body on a whole other level. The second part of the exercise takes place in a standing position, where you begin to learn and learn the elements of pole dancing. This type of exercise is suitable and adapted to every woman, regardless of age, body type and physical fitness.

With this way of training in a very short time get in better shape. The flexibility of your body increases, the pounds melt away, the level of satisfaction and energy rises. In any case, though gain confidence and love your body again and myself as a woman. This dance is much more than recreation. It is art with an emphasis on the aesthetics of movement and sensuality of movement. Therefore, even if you are a complete beginner in this exercise, do not be afraid to find yourself and start with it. In Slovenia, pole dancing flourished in 2009. At the beginning, of course, they faced prejudices that it was the same as striptease. But the new sport-artistic discipline began to spread rapidly. Many studios began to open all over Slovenia. More and more girls started dancing, taking care of their body and self-confidence. The dance has also become an attraction in many popular television shows.

The most well-known figure in the media who is engaged in sensual dancing is the ex-wife of Sebastian Cavazza - Martina Vrhovnik, who opened a sensual dance salon 10 years ago, which she still runs today.
