School no longer prepares children for life, but rather kills their creativity

Think how much things in the world have changed in the last 10 years. How fast technological development is and how much we are changing as a society. Now think of a school and ask yourself what that school is like today and you will get the answer: no different from the school you attended 30, 40, 50, 60 years ago... 100 years.

Many experts have been pointing out for years that it is the school system that should be preparing our children for a different future. A future about which we do not know much, but which seems to be radically changing our world, culture and ways of perceiving society. The school where he is children are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. One of the theories says that we are all born extremely creative, but we lose this creativity over the years, or it is killed in the vast majority of us by the school system, which does not encourage it, but suppresses it due to its restraints and attachment to rigid frameworks.

Famous painter Pablo Picasso once stated that all children are born artists, but the problem is to remain an artist while growing up. And the claim of many experts is that we do not educate and grow in creativity, but rather lose it in systems that do not allow creativity and even punish it, or re-educate this creativity.

You have to let your children grow up to be creative individuals.
You have to let your children grow up to be creative individuals.

School system, as we know it today, was created for the beginning of the industrial revolution and has basically remained so to this day. In the following years, it will be on graduated millions to the world new students with different degrees top educations, different certificates, diplomas..., and in this flood or inflation of graduates, diplomas became completely irrelevant in an instant and practically overnight. Recruiters are looking for something more and mostly that, for which the school system does not prepare children. They are looking for those who can think for themselves and see things differently than the average.

And where are the solutions we parents need today? Many experts are aware of the problem and are starting to teach parents techniques in education that will help them maintain their children's creativity and develop their potential. In his lectures, Norwegian pedagogue and international lecturer Godi Keller tries to show parents the pitfalls of the school system and how to help children who are not successful in this school system because they are not average enough, but may be above average in many other areas. The problem is that because of the wounds of failure, such children often succumb to pressure and never really succeed due to their lost self-confidence. That is why the role of parents is extremely important, as they must instill a great deal of healthy self-confidence in their children and to recognize and never suppress talents in them or expressed wishes. Have you ever told your child: you will never be a dancer, an athlete...? Then think again and enable the discovery of talents in your child.

Finally, a look into the not-so-distant past. In 2007, when Sir Ken Robinson gave an 18-minute genius talk at the TED conference - he created one of the more legendary contributions, which to date has been viewed by more than 60,000,000 viewers worldwide.
