Skoda Karoq: the little Kodiaq that replaced the Yeti

The Skoda Karoq will replace the Yeti and fill the gap left by the larger Kodiaq. Designwise, the Kodiaq and Karoq are almost identical, with only a few design features separating them. Besides the size, of course. Compared to the Yeti, the Karoq has grown in all dimensions, only less in height due to the shape. But it inherited from the Yeti flexible interior, off-road capabilities, ergonomics and spaciousness.

New Skoda Karoq will be as big a hit as the larger Kodiaq. The official sales haven't even started well yet, but they already have 191 vehicles ordered. The Karoq can be recognized by the distinctive bonnet and front grille, and it differs from the Kodiaq by the shape of the LED lights, the shape of the bumper, the shape of the fog lights and some other small details. The biggest advantages of the Karoq over the Yeti are in increased space inside. It is for 16 centimeters longer, and consequently has 100 liters more luggage space. Folding rear seat system VarioFlex allows the luggage compartment to be expanded up to 1810 liters.

The Škoda Karoq brings technology to the SUV segment that we have already seen in the Kodiaq and other SUVs from the same concern. Active information screen in front of the driver is digitized and we can choose from several data display options. Ambient lighting is available in 10 colors, and when we open the door, us the floor is illuminated by the luminous inscription code. The central display is in size 9.2 inches and enables connection with smartphones, navigation, car radio and other systems. We have a choice of 14 exterior colors, 10 of which are metallic.

When we open the door, the Škoda light sign illuminates the floor.

Both can be combined with DSG gearbox, and stronger also with wheel drive 4×4. For gasoline engines, it has a liter TSI 115 horsepower, 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
