Garmin has introduced a new generation of Garmin Fenix smart watches. The new rugged, powerful, sporty yet sleek GPS smartwatch is called the Garmin Fenix 5. It's thinner, lighter and even more versatile than its predecessors.

Garmin has introduced new members of the Fenix branded smartwatch family Fenix 5. Three models will be available GPS watch, namely 5, 5S and 5X. The basic model measures diagonally instead of 51 42 mm.


Garmin has skipped the number 4, and the new generation has all the functionality of the previous generation - it offers many, among other things sports functions, such as wrist-based heart rate monitoring, and navigation functions.

47mm model Fenix 5S is made especially for women with an adventurous streak. It will also be available with sapphire glass. 5X already has them loaded topographical, cycling and hiking maps. It measures 51 mm diagonally. The screen boasts with a resolution of 240 × 240 pixels. The Garmin Fenix 5 model lasts on a charge up to two weeks and 24 hours with GPS on.

The 5X model lasts a dozen days or 20 hours with GPS. The women's version lasts the least, namely up to 8 days or 13 hours if it tracks your movement. Hours will be available in the first quarter of 2017. The basic model will hit you in the pocket with 570 euros.
