Sony takes on Apple Airpods with new sports wireless fitness headphones WF-SP800N

Sony WF-SP800N

It's no secret that manufacturers have been competing for an extremely rich piece of the pie in the sports headphone segment over the past year. Here, Apple Airpods reign supreme, with many compelling features, but still leaving room for improvement. And since we know that Sony can really do a lot in the field of sound, let's see what they have prepared for us.

Headphones Sony WF-SP800N were designed primarily for sport and fitness. Knowing that the waterproof rating is the most important thing at Sony, they have obtained an IP55 waterproof rating, which means that the headphones will firmly resist splashes of water, sweat and dust. It's fitting that they enable active noise cancellation technology ANC and support for 360 Reality Audio, which will ensure that you still hear the important things happening around you (for example, traffic and potential hazards).

Sony emphasizes that these are real sports headphones. This means that they adapt perfectly to the ear "shells" and sit nicely in the ear arch. They won't be like that for you fell from the ears during serious sports activities. The energy in a pair of headphones will be for up to eight hours of continuous playback (with the noise on) and up to 26 hours of sound playback with the energy that the headphones draw from the case itself. When you're in a hurry, you can only z 10-minute charging enjoy up to 60 minutes of playback. Excellent!

Headphones Sony WF-SP800N will be available in black and white at a suggested retail price of €200 from July 2020 onwards. Alternatively, you can pre-order them on the German amazon.de, via these connections.
