Microsoft Surface Go 2: The only real competitor to the iPad

Maybe first to the essence of the device Microsoft Surface Go 2. It is a small laptop with a clean real operating systems (Windows 10) and is therefore intended for those who need to be mobile as much as possible, but do not want to give up the possibility of running so-called desktop Windows applications.

The most important change is the larger screen, which now measures 10.5 inches, slightly more than its predecessor, although the size of the device itself is identical. Therefore, all accessories, i.e. covers and keyboard, remain the same as in the predecessor. Goodbye to the unsightly edges of the screen, so the device and the screen give the impression that they are more in touch with the times. A bigger screen also means a higher resolution 1920x1280 (220 ppi), and at the same time has a practically ideal aspect ratio, 3:2. Inside, Microsoft has also introduced options Surface Go 2 processor selection. A basic model starting at approx 399.99 euros, still includes a processor Intel Pentium Gold, and a new model with a processor is also available m3 Core Core 8th generation. Microsoft promises as much as 64% faster performance for Surface Go 2, powered by a Core m3 processor.

While basic Surface Go 2 includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage, the Core m3 model, which costs around 629 euros, has 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD. There is also a version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD with a Pentium Gold processor, which is about 100 euros cheaper than the more powerful one.
