12. Kino Otok 2016 (Isola Cinema): with movements on and under the screen

Films, filmmakers, screenings in the open air and in the mysterious darkness of the cinema, creative workshops for the youngest, in-depth conversations and evening socializing with relaxing music - all this will find a place on the most cinematic island in Slovenia, on Kino Otok. New to the island this year will be the TorinoFilmLab and FrameWork workshops, both of which will be joined by the professional ReAct workshop. Thus, the island will host 60 new film experts from all over the world and Izola will be the world center of film. At the 12th International Film Festival Kino Otok - Isola Cinema, we will look into stories whose movement itself moved.

Want to spice up this year's Valentine's Day? In Kinodvor, this time too, on Valentine's Day, they are organizing a special evening for lovers. Are you going to the cinema? Retrosex, with which Kinodvor returns to the time of its predecessor, Sloga cinema, where erotic films were part of the iron repertoire.

Great Kitten wants to open the world's first cat cinema

London start-up Great Kittens hopes to open the world's first cat cinema, which would be both a cafe and a sanctuary for these adorable furry four-legged friends. With it, they want to bring cats closer to people through film, food and coffee, and there will also be free cat therapies for people with mental and health problems and the disabled. The project is currently fundraising on Indiegogo.
