Chocolate cream or chocolate mousse, is a delicious after-meal treat. The French classic has its own rules and requires quite a bit of skill. Its preparation is often time-consuming, and you also need quite a few ingredients.
But not for this recipe. This is a "fake" mousse, the recipe of which you will remember in no time, and for which you only need egg white snow and chocolate. The result is a chocolate cream with a perfect taste and delicate structure. For preparation desserts you need less than 5 minutes!
Chocolate mousse
Ingredients
- chocolate with at least 60% cocoa
- 3 eggs
Directions
- Melt the chocolate in a large bowl over steam.
- Mix the egg yolks into the melted chocolate.
- Whip the egg whites into firm snow, but not the hardest.
- Add the snow little by little to the bowl of chocolate. Do not mix, just gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate to get a uniform mixture.
- Pour the mixture into cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Serve with fresh mint leaves, strawberries, a scoop of vanilla ice cream or unsweetened whipped cream.
