The Volkswagen Polo, a bestseller in Slovenia, would once again hit the roads in the GTI version. The one that will make the heart of all car classic lovers skip a beat. So a legendary city car with a legendary acronym.
The heart of every GTI model it's a motor. Like all its predecessors, it is also new Polo GTI driven on the front pair of wheels. The gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging is combined as standard with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG). The advantages of the front transversely mounted turbo engine in the new Polo GTI are a dual injection system with combined direct injection and intake pipe injection, an engine controller with four core processors and electronic switching of the lift valves on the intake side. Despite the high power, the engine is characterized by efficiency and moderate fuel consumption. The low curb weight of the new Polo GTI also contributes to this. For the time being, Volkswagen shyly hides details such as horsepower, torque, torque, etc... But we believe that, just like in the predecessor, at least 200 horses will be available, which will push the hot-blooded to 100 in a mere 6 seconds.
From the first GTI from 1976, thanks to Volkswagen, this acronym is synonymous with exceptional driving pleasure in the compact vehicle segment. The Polo received the GTI label for the first time in 1998 – as the third model after the Golf and Scirocco. And so he continues the tradition to this day.
The new Polo comes standard with a bunch of assistance systems, such as radar cruise control, lane assist and maximum connectivity with devices. The new Volkswagen Polo can, of course, connect to the Internet independently with its own SIM card.
As befits the real Volkswagen GTI, is also new Polo GTI equipped as standard with a specially adapted sports chassis, which lowers the body by 15 millimeters and provides a typical GTI synthesis of high driving dynamics, safe neutrality and high driving comfort.
It will be available in five colors: Deep Black Pearl, Smoke Gray Metallic, Royal Red Metallic, Pure White Universal and Underwater Blue Metallic. The last three body colors can optionally be combined with a contrasting black roof. 17-inch aluminum wheels are standard, and 18-inch aluminum wheels can be ordered as an optional extra for the Polo GTI.
The interior is dominated by black, red, gray and chrome color shades. The roof pillars and headliner are always titanium black in typical GTI style. Red contrast stitching has always been a feature of GTI models. They adorn the standard multifunction sports leather steering wheel, the gear lever trim and the outer surfaces of the seats. The optional beats audio system with 300 W and six speakers provides an exciting acoustic experience. The amplifier is economically installed under the bottom of the variable luggage floor. The volume of the luggage compartment of the new Polo GTI is as much as 351 liters.
