The Shades of Denim: Sunglasses made from scrap jeans

The Shades of Denim: sunglasses made from waste textiles

In a world full of waste, where old jeans also belong, Mošević sees an opportunity to finally end the era of destroying the planet, namely by recycling old jeans. This is how he made The Shades of Denim sunglasses out of it.

It is no secret that the textile industry (in addition to the meat industry) deserves the "highest prize" for destruction planet and workforce – new series of fashion pieces are constantly being produced, even if the vast majority of unsold models from previous seasons end on landfills or they are burned. Since this type of practice does not have a positive impact on the environment and people, The Shades of Denim company remembered that from waste denim did just that sunglasses.

Even if denim is considered a tough fabric, it needs to be reinforced - designer Mošević reinforces every scrap of denim with bad luck, namely by pressing up to 10 layers of denim together to form solid blocks, from which they can then make high-quality and durable glasses.

Mošević believes that it is denim material from the space age, which has all the necessary features to create durable, yet modern sunglasses – they are fully lacquered and thus ensure resistance to water (e.g. sweat) and dirt (e.g. creams).

Glasses are not only functional, but also fashionable, as Mošević has developed a range of frames (5 models) which suit all face shapes - he created a special part of the "suspension", which allows the handles of the glasses adjust size and shape of the head and maintain a stable curve.

Glasses models you can think of.
