The first day of spring, the first weekend of spring, welcome to the warmer days of the year. And when spring begins, many outdoor events begin to line up one after another. Which and where do we catch them this weekend?
Friday
We've been waiting hard for her, haven't we? Namely, an open kitchen. The first day of spring also marks the beginning of one of the most popular culinary events in our country, with which we start this year's Where to go this weekend plan. Pogačarjev trg will be with Open kitchen so once again every Friday, when the weather is nice, it provides a gourmet bustle in the center of the capital, which, with a wide variety of culinary offerings, weaves together delicious snacks and all-day socializing. All over Slovenia, this weekend, or on Friday, the doors are also opening in the spring season Restaurant Week 2015, within the framework of which the best-rated restaurants and inns in our country will offer top menus for 15 euros. The central theme of this year's Restaurant Week 2015 is "new Slovenian cuisine". During the lively and tasty start to the weekend, the Maribor Art Gallery presents a large exhibition of the art of socialist realism in our country. Our heroes they will be on view until August 23, 2015.
Of course, the weekend together with Planico 2015 can start as early as Thursday. The final of the World Cup, which we will experience on the first weekend of spring, smells like a record again, so let's keep our fingers crossed that the Slovenian eagles will fly the best.
Saturday
On Saturday morning, we can treat ourselves to a slightly different coffee. Let's awaken the poet in us and join the international poetry movement, because at World Poetry Day verse became the new payment currency. At 15 locations in Slovenia, we will pay for the coffee with a verse and thus, together with other poets, indulge in emotions and creativity for a day. After coffee, to Koseze Primary School in Ljubljana, where it will happen 14. KockeFest – LEGO playhouse and exhibition of LEGO creations, fortunately, in case we don't catch it on Saturday, it will last for two days, that is, also on Sunday.
Sunday
If Sunday will be nicer than they predict, let's use it for one day trip. It's full of ideas, you just have to find them. We present you one-day trips to the sea, by bike or into the hills, which may come in handy in these awakening spring days.
Forecasts can come true, so don't forget about plan B. Bad weather is perfect for going to the cinema. Between March 18 and 31, Ljubljana's Kinodvor and Slovenska Kinoteka are hosting 4. Francophone Film Festival, which will present 15 films in more than ten days, and three additional ones will give the festival a completely new perspective. On Sunday at 3 p.m. in Kinodvor, the film Kiriku and the Witch will be shown, and at 7 p.m. Class Enemy.
