The new Ford Fiesta: born for Slovenian roads

We managed to get to know the new Ford Fiesta on Slovenian roads as part of the international presentation of new models to journalists from across Europe. Ford decided to show the car to this demanding audience right in our beautiful country. And we are proud of it.

Ford Fiesta it is considered to be Ford's best-selling model on European soil, as it was produced in as many as 18 million units. This time, hers is in front of us seventh generation, which makes this 41-year-old lady (the Ford Fiesta was first introduced way back in 1976) extremely youthful and agile. And not only that! Ford claims that it is the most technologically advanced car in the segment, which in today's times also means a great contribution to passenger safety. It will be available in four versions, from the most prestigious Vignale with superior equipment and services, to more elegant ones Titanium and Active, to sports ST-Line and the most powerful ST, coming next year.

Born for Slovenian roads

We thoroughly tested it on Slovenian roads new driving characteristics Ford Fiesta, which still remains proverbially excellent and practically unbeatable in its class. This means that its driving characteristics were and remain recorded as exemplary and tailored to those drivers who like to sometimes push their car beyond the limits of their physical capabilities. This does not mean that you have to give up comfort at the expense of driving dynamics in the Ford Fiesta. This is at a higher level in the new generation than in the previous one. Everything is quieter and somehow more polished and balanced. New Ford Fiesta drives significantly better than the previous generation on the highway, because the engineers conjured up the feeling of a much larger car. We consider this a special plus for her. Its driving dynamics are more than convincing. And it seems that she was born for Slovenian roads.

Technologies for your safety

Ford claims it's a Fiesta the most technologically advanced car in its segment and consequently the most advanced small car in the world. The Fiesta's electronic "smartness" hides as many as 15 different technologies to help the driver drive. And this also makes the Fiesta practically unbeatable in its segment. Two cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors that control 360 degrees around the vehicle and check the road in front of the vehicle up to a distance of 130 meters. In practice, this means that the Fiesta is able to recognize a pedestrian 130 meters away, warn the driver about him and prevent the worst. In addition to the above, there is adaptive cruise control, adjustable speed limiter, blind spot information system, distance indication, driver concentration control, lane keeping assistance, traffic sign recognition system, smart headlights, cross traffic warning system behind the vehicle and indispensable emergency call system. All of the above, at the beginning of September, the new Fiesta was awarded five stars, the highest possible safety rating, by the independent crash test organization Euro NCAP.

Superior sound with B&O Play

If you are looking for a car in which you will experience the sound in a very special way and you are an audiophile, then you have found your next car. Ford has always placed great emphasis on this segment and with the new one Ford Fiesta exceeded our expectations. They invited to participate Bang & Olufsen and the result is a perfect surround sound from which 10 speakers, which together have more than 675 watts. They put the woofer in the place where the spare tire is usually hidden, and the central midrange speaker on top of the dashboard. The results obtained by testing and playing more than 5,000 songs are remarkable. The B&O Play system, made especially for the new Fiesta, is connected to Ford's SYNC 3 user interface, which is controlled on an up to 8-inch touch screen. The system can also be connected to smart devices via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Committed to durability

Maybe not such an unimportant piece of information, but at Ford they pay special attention the durability of the materials used in the cabin. This means that the materials used in the car have been tested in every possible way. Thus, the robotic butt sat on the seats as many as 25,000 times in order to check and prove their durability. The seat cushions were plowed through 60,000 test cycles to ensure wear resistance, and the flexibility and comfort of the seat material was also tested after 24 hours at -30 degrees Celsius. They also tested the durability of the leather on the steering wheel and assured it of a high level of durability. All with the aim of keeping the Fiesta as it was on the first day for a long time. And the leap in quality is truly remarkable; the difference with the previous generation is also immediately noticeable here.

Ford Fiesta it charmed passers-by and inspired us while winding our way through Slovenian roads. You can already see it in salons and even try it live and, of course, choose your own.
