It sounds complicated, but don't let the name fool you. It's actually a very simple dessert with a cookie base, banana-caramel filling and a whipped cream 'cover' that teaches you how to cook at the same time caramel.
Recipe – Banana Caramel Banoffee Pie:
Ingredients - Banana Caramel Banoffee Pie:
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 2 bananas
- 200 ml of sweet whipping cream
- 300 g of Albert biscuits
- 150 g of butter
- chocolate (for decoration)
The process of making banana-caramel banoffee pie:
Boil a large amount of water. When it boils, reduce the temperature so that it barely boils. Put a can of condensed milk in the pot, cover and cook for two to three hours (the can must be under water the whole time). After the elapsed time, pour the resulting caramel into a bowl and mix well. Then, melt the butter in a small saucepan and mix in the finely crushed cookies that we previously ground in a blender. Grease the bottom of the cake pan and line it with baking paper. Spread the biscuit-butter mixture evenly with your hand on the bottom and around the perimeter. The cookie base should be firm, so press it down well. Place in the refrigerator to harden. Cut the bananas into slices and whip the cream with a mixer. Caramel is first applied to the hardened biscuit base, then banana slices are added and finished with cream. Leave in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to cool the pie well. Remove from the pan and decorate with banana slices and chocolate, if desired. And happy sweetening!
