The Audi Q4 e-tron has always been like that pretty boy or girl in class – everyone wanted to look at it, but it was missing something. Well, now Audi has added that "something" that was missing. Battery with at least 77 kWh capacity. It's like adding an espresso shot to your already strong coffee. Audi has finally realized that there is no room for compromise in the premium segment, especially when it comes to range.
Audi achieved sales growth of 51.2 percent in the first half of 2023. And who is the star of this electric show? Of course, family Audi Q4 e-tron.
Now, let's not realize Audi Q4 e-tron she's not exactly a ballerina. It's not the lightest electric car on the market, nor is it the most aerodynamic. But with this battery? You can drive to Trieste for coffee and back without breaking a sweat about the range. That's about 400 real-world kilometers of range, which is more than enough for most of your adventures.
And then there's everything else. The battery is charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than half an hour. The rear-wheel drive models offer a maximum DC charging power of 135 kW, while the quattro models achieve a maximum DC charging power of 175 kW. It's faster than you can eat a hamburger! The drive system is like Thor's hammer for electric cars. Rear-wheel drive models have 210 kW (286 horsepower) and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. That's faster than you can say "Audi Q4 e-tron is the law!" And for those who want even more, there are also quatro models with 250 kW (340 horsepower), which accelerate to highway speed in a mere 5.4 seconds. Terminal velocity? Hold on because all models reach 180 km/h. previously they were limited to 160 km/h, which is decidedly insufficient for German autobahns.
But that's not all. Audi has also catered for those who enjoy driving. A new chassis setup improves balance for even greater comfort, driving fun and stability. And if you think that's all, wait until you hear about the assistance systems. Also new is assisting when changing lanes in combination with adaptive cruise control for speeds above 90 km/h. The system uses data from the rear radar sensor and white arrows on the instrument panel and in a projected screen on the windshield indicate to the driver whether it is safe to change lanes.
And finally, because Audi knows that sound is important, they also added "characteristic sound". So you'll be heard when you're coming, and no, it's not the sound of your favorite rock band, but a sound that's sure to turn heads.
So, if you are looking for an electric car that is not just a car, but an experience, then the Audi Q4 e-tron is the right choice for you. With each "version" it gets better and better.
