The Audi Urbansphere Concept represents the latest study of Audi's electric autonomous future. The focus of the presented concept is driving through densely populated cities.

Audi Urbansphere Concept were jointly designed by the Audi design studios in Beijing and Ingoldstadt. The interior was designed first, and then, based on these needs, the exterior of the electric car was added. The purpose of the concept is to provide passengers with a calm and comfortable place, while only they are transported through the everyday hustle and bustle of the metropolis. The interior offers four seats in two rows. Due to the abundance of space, the seats can be tilted up to 60˚, and they also have built-in footrests that are automatically "brought" out of the seat. The headrests have a built-in speaker and almost wrap around the passenger's head, for a greater sense of privacy.

The entertainment system for the passenger in the second row is located on a transparent screen that extends almost across the entire width of the car and "descends" from the ceiling. Passengers can share the screen, or split it in half and do their own thing. Passengers are constantly monitored by cameras that monitor eye movements. Even when the seat is in the fully reclined position, passengers can control the devices in the car with just gestures. Sensors detect stress and, if necessary, offer the passenger to launch a meditation application. The dashboard is made of a wooden surface that stretches across the entire width of the car, and gauges, buttons and other systems are projected onto it. Urbansphere is equipped with 4th stage autonomous systems, but still has conventional control methods available in case the driver wants to drive himself.

It's not noticeable in the pictures, but the Urbansphere is among the larger cars. It measures in length 5.51 meters and has the largest interior volume we've ever seen from an Audi brand. The exterior of the Audi Urbansphere resembles a mix of a crossover and a van and is extremely minimalistic. The Urbansphere rides on Audi's Audi Premium Platform Electric and has a capacity battery 120 kWh. With it, it will be possible to cover a distance of up to 750 kilometers. The futuristic concept is said to have two electric motors, which together will produce 396 horsepower and 690 newton meters of torque. Quite enough, given that in the case of the Urbansphere concept, comfort comes first and speed comes second.
