Let's be politically incorrect, but brutally honest, because we don't have time for deception anymore. For all of you who still believe that we will solve the future with circles where we all sit in a circle and pass around a "talking stick", I have bad news for you. In the world of artificial intelligence (AI), democracy as we know it in old, tired Europe is dead. They just haven't told it yet. Dictatorship is the new black... Let me explain!
Dictatorship – or, to be more gentle, “hierarchical management” – is the only form that will successfully survive the next ten years of the AI revolution.
Why? Because mathematics is simple and unforgiving. 1+1 is still 2, whether you are a Dove or a MuskIn the age of AI speed is no longer a competitive advantage. Speed is the hygienic minimum. It is condition for existence.
Look at the United Arab Emirates. Look at China. And honestly, look at corporate America right now, run by tech moguls. These are systems that are turning faster than Sharkwhen he smells a drop of blood in the pool. Why? Because the decision-making center is clear, hierarchical, and brutal. Someone at the top – be it a sheikh, a party secretary, or Elon Musk – or Trump – says, “Let’s go right.” And the entire system, millions of people and billions of capital, at that moment they turn right. No public discussions. No referendums. No union protests about the right to “turn right”.
Meanwhile, our dear, old, romantic Europe...
In our country, the emergence of revolutionary technology the following happens: Ursula calls a meeting. We set up an interdepartmental working group. This group needs six months to appoint a sub-group. The sub-group will prepare a draft strategy within three years on how, if everyone agrees and if we don't offend anyone, we could start thinking about maybe turning left. But be careful! And only if the left direction is consistent with GDPR regulation and if we previously conducted an impact study on beetle mating in Lower Duplek.
While we we write regulations for technology, which we don't even understand yet, are in Dubai has already built infrastructure, in China implemented the system, and in Silicon Valley collected all the profits.
These "soft dictatorships" (presidential republics in the true sense of the word or kingdoms) and hierarchical systems will be the winners of evolution. They make decisions in real time. A world that is racing towards AGI (artificial general intelligence) does not allow for waiting. When AI starts to develop even more exponentially – and we are talking about progress where every three months is equivalent to ten years of development – our democratic procedure will look like a steam locomotive in a Formula 1 race.
Democracy with endless debates and seeking consensus on the color of the facade while the house is burning is too slow for the AGI world. Crisis management requires a general, no debate club. And the advent of AI is a crisis situation. It is a “war” for the dominance of the intellect.

Where is Slovenia in this picture? The country from which the author of this entry comes?
We are Pistons on steroids. We not only have slow procedures, we have procedures that are an end in themselves. We have a government that deals with timelines that don't even last until the next newspaper is printed. We have a healthcare system that is falling apart because no one dares to bang on the table and say: "Enough of theft, let's go to optimization of procurement." No, we prefer to establish a new world for studying queues, while people are dying.
If we don't change our mindset and accept the fact that we need quick, executive action and people with backbones (and yes, maybe with a little less attention to every NGO that has five minutes of time), we will become an exhibit.
Europe, with its “democratic” procedure, will become the most decorated museum in the world. A museum where we will all be equally poor, where we will all have the right to an opinion, which no one will take into account, and where we will serve coffee to tourists from Asia and the Middle East. They will come to watch, how we once lived "freely", while they will colonize the future and space.
The real revolution will not be in this, what AI knowsThe revolution will be in this, who will allow AI, Yes change company. And I bet it won't be the one who has to collect money for every mouse movement 15 signatures and approval of the ethics committee.Keyword = dictatorship.
The world is moving towards efficiency. And in this battle democracy, full of compromises and mediocrity, unfortunately has no “horses”. Or, to be more precise – no chips.
