Café bombón or bonbon coffee is a fantastic coffee from Spain that will enchant you from the first sip!
Coffee is a popular drink in almost every culture, but it is drunk in different ways in different countries. Café bombón or bonbon coffee is extremely popular in Spain, and it traditionally consists of espresso mixed with sweetened condensed milk. In addition to Spain, variations of this coffee can also be found in some Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. And while in Spain espresso is mixed with sweetened condensed milk, in Asia they often use ground coffee instead of espresso. This is very similar to Vietnamese-style iced coffee, which is also made with sweetened condensed milk.

You have probably already realized that condensed milk is the main ingredient of this coffee drink. It is served in glass cups so you can clearly see the layering of coffee and milk. You probably won't find Café bombón or bonbon coffee in our cafes (if you know where it is, please let us know), but you can easily prepare it at home. All you need is equal parts espresso and sweetened condensed milk.
Recipe: café bombón or candy coffee
First pour the espresso into the glass. As we already mentioned, it will be best to prepare the drink in a glass cup so that we can see the layering of coffee and milk. After pouring the espresso, carefully fill the glass with sweetened condensed milk.
You can also do the whole process in reverse, by first pouring condensed milk into the glass and then adding the espresso on top. And that's that! We wish you many pleasures!
