Singer Ana Soklič will represent Slovenia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam with the song Amen. She will present it on the big Eurovision stage for the first time in the first pre-selection on May 18.

The Slovenian word was heard for the first time at the Eurovision Song Contest already in 1966, when Yugoslavia was still represented by Sepet's song Without Words performed by Berta Ambrož. At that time, the fund landed in an excellent 7th place.

We were most successful in 1962 with the composition of the Slovenian composer Jože Privšek - Ne pali sveta sumrak, which was sung by Lola Novakovič and took an excellent 4th place. In 1967, Lado Leskovar finished in 8th place with the composition Vse rože sveta.

After secession, Slovenia performed as an independent country for the first time in 1993 with a composition Quiet rainy day in performance 1 x Gang. The song ranked 21st.

Darja Švajger 7th place

Nuša Derenda 7th place

In 2001, Slovenia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest by Nuša Derenda. The song "Energy" received a lot of enthusiasm, and for the first time bookies predicted the victory of a Slovenian song. She performed in the Parken Stadium in Denmark (Kobenhaven) in front of a crowd of 35,000. After voting, she took 7th place.

Tanja Ribič 10th place

Tanja Ribič represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 with the song Zbudi se.

Darja Švajger 11th place

In 1999, Darja celebrated again at EMI with the song Še miloš let, and then won 11th place with the English version of the song For a Thousand Years in Jerusalem.

Sisters 13th place

In 2002, the sisters applied for Emo and won, thereby winning a Eurovision ticket to Tallinn, where they provided an extremely high-profile performance.

Maja Keuc 13th place

Maja Keuc represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011. The composition ended up in 13th place.

We definitely want this year's representative to us Ana Soklič goodo represents. Otherwise, the bookmakers at this year's selection in Rotterdam are not in the best favor, as her song is placed at the bottom of the chart. Even if the song does not make it to the finale of the evening, we believe that her voice will leave a big impression on the stage. Good luck, Ana.
