Microsoft Surface Pro 9: The ultimate 2-in-1

For years, Microsoft Surface has been trying to sell the concept of a tablet and a laptop in one device. Finally, with a range of new processors, this seems entirely possible.

Apple's M-series chips have gotten a lot of attention, but Microsoft has been quietly offering ARM-based Surface 2-in-1s for years. With the Surface Pro 9, they have matured to the point where they are integrated into the main product line. The Pro 9 is available with either a 12th Gen Intel Core processor or an SQ3 ARM processor made by Qualcomm, the latter offering integrated 5G support and an integrated neural processing unit. Both models feature a 13-inch 2880 x 1920 touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate support, up to 16GB of RAM for the ARM model and 32GB for the Intel versions, a built-in kickstand, and compatibility with optional Type Covers.

Surface Pro launched as a first-in-class tablet that can replace your laptop and offers touch, ink, a full-size precision trackpad, and a productive keyboard that's finely crafted and feels good to the touch. Over the years it has been refined, tuned and perfected. Today, the Surface Pro 9 raises the bar again.

The Surface display is more than just a sheet of glass. It is a canvas, a journal, a notepad, an editing space and a large cinema screen. It's a vibrant sheet of pixels that transforms into a combination of experiences that inform, engage, entertain and connect you. With an incredible level of quality, performance and versatility, the edge-to-edge display on Surface Pro 9 is stunning. With a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a wide color gamut, visual stories come true. Underneath the display is an HD camera, Omnisonic speakers, directional microphones, and a custom G6 chip that takes ink to the next level with tactile signals. Combined with the new Ink Focus in Microsoft OneNote or the new GoodNotes app coming to Windows 11 in early 2023, digital ink on the screen looks like writing with pen and paper.

The Microsoft SQ® processor ensures fast 5G connectivity and extremely long battery life – up to 19 hours. Plus, it unlocks new AI features powered by an all-new Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that changes the way you connect with the people in your life. Capable of more than 15 trillion calculations per second, the NPU in Surface Pro 9 powers new Windows Studio effects experiences.

The price for the entry-level model will be around 1,300 euros.
