It was 1993, when Ford announced to the world public that it would offer customers the first global model - the Ford Mondea, which will be sold unchanged in more than 150 markets around the world. The concept caught on immediately and the market success of the Sierra successor only grew. The fourth generation must therefore "fill big shoes", which it plans to do with a performance exterior, plenty of advanced technology, driving characteristics and, last but not least, the price.
New Ford Mondeo it has practically no point in common with its predecessor from a design point of view, it seems much more related to the current focus and also fiestas, from which he inherited now characteristically Aston Martin's motorized the mask. This one is dressed in a concrete amount of chrome, and its shape (or rather size) has pulled behind it a very low engine hood, which, together with sharply pointed headlights, also ensures an above-average muscular appearance, which inflated fenders (which accept rims up to 19″ inches) only reinforce it.
The rest of the body also looks very showy and, as mentioned earlier, inflated, and the side is dominated by a sporty silhouette, reinforced by the chrome border of the side windows. The rear rounds off this sporty whole nicely, both with the appearance of the lights and the extremely flat rear window, regardless of whether it is any of the three body versions.
Inside, too, the new Ford Mondeo has gained a lot, both compared to its predecessor and the other models in the range. Ford range. The materials on the dashboard are of commendable quality for the Blue Oval models and pleasant to the touch, although for a better impression you have to look towards titanium package. In terms of equipment, it is worth highlighting large digital display, which takes up most of the gauges in front of the driver, the two analog ones on each side only complement it. Sound insulation is also better, thanks to chassis refinements and thicker side windows. The driving dynamics have also been improved, more lightweight and recycled materials are used in the bodywork, an example of which is the front bumper manufactured from recycled bottles.
Between advanced technology and other comfortable equipment, the Ford Mondeo is richer for full LED headlights, which are otherwise always available for an additional fee, parking assistance according to the new system, it also helps the new driver to leave the parking space, passengers in the back row are also protected by inflatable safety belts, the size of which increases by five times in a crisis situation.
For engines, there is a choice on the petrol side ecoboost engines size 1.5- or 2.0 liters, and power 118, 150 and 176 kW, and on the diesel side we find two versions known 2.0 TDCI aggregate with power 110- respectively 132 kW. Later will enrich the offer another 1.0-liter ecoboost three cylinder with 92 kW of maximum power and the most powerful diesel with two consecutive turbines, the 2.0-liter TDCi with a power of 155 kilowatts.
