The 2016 Mercedes Benz C Coupe is in a very specific market niche where not many cars are sold. In any case, it is already the case that niches are attractive and if you are one of those potential buyers who have a coupe shape written in their hearts, then you will not remain cold-blooded when it comes to the latter. Mercedes-Benz C Coupé it is simply beautiful from every angle. Here, like most Mercedes-Benz products in the recent period, it strongly distinguishes German brands with its design philosophy. With its design, Mercedes-Benz speaks a completely different – let's say – more luxurious design language. In the design, connoisseurs of shapes and aesthetics will recognize the lines and features of its ultimate brother – the S-class coupe. And that is more than excellent.
Mercedes-Benz thus, almost two years after the presentation of the new C-class, the latest version of this model series is sent to the roads – the C Coupé, which has little in common with the latter, as it is already based on the technological platform of the upcoming E-class and is thus in many ways more advanced than current class C.
Like heaps he is faithful to his mission. That's right coupe, which on the back bench offers only an excuse for the declaration and technical characteristics of the 4-seater, as the back seats offer extremely little space and are practically useless for longer journeys. In a way, this is also right, because the car is not intended for a family, but for a couple who appreciate shared hedonistic moments and know that traveling at the credit card company can be the right thing. Although it's nice rounded back plenty of room for five pieces of luggage.
It continues inside the already familiar, but because of the mission C coupé slightly more playful than in the classical versions class C. Thus, more playful color combinations are available, which radiate a little more youth. In the test car, we were particularly impressed by the excellent appearance of the wood imitation in a dark tone, which gave the interior a special and extremely elegant seal when combined with aluminum.
The new C coupe under the hood, it can hide one of the four petrol units or one of the two diesels. The engine range thus offers a range of power between 156 and 245 horses. Of course, the legendary 8 cylinder and version also joins this good company C 63 AMG coupe. This means that it hides a lot under the hood 510 Germanic crows. The technology of passive safety elements is moving from higher classes and in the new C coupe means that only this will brake in an emergency up to 200 km/h thus preventing and mitigating the consequences of collisions.
But that's not all! New C coupe brings technological innovation in this class. AIRMATIC air suspension, which until now was only available in more prestigious products. The set of all elements is in the new C coupe they merge into some unsuspected whole that works at a high level.
According to the words Slovenian importer a good 20 to 30 C coupés are expected to hit the roads in the coming year. Which is a bold and rather cautious prediction for a niche segment. But, in the last period the importer has been surprised mainly by the sales figures brothers' C coupe, which this year also achieved high numbers due to the renewal of the model range and sent good ones to Slovenian roads 1050 new ones drove with a star on his nose.
