You always take something to eat to work. Some yogurt, salad, sandwich or dessert. And what do these foods have in common, besides calories? Waste. Everything comes in packaging that ends up in the trash at the end of the day. In the US, college students alone produce 30.4 kg of lunchbox-related trash each year, and the rest of us probably aren't any better. Packaging is a necessity, but thanks to the Tomorrow Machine, it is no longer a waste.
Food and drink are mostly found in single-use plastic packaging, and we know that plastic clogs the veins of the planet and, together with other factors, causes heart attacks in the form of natural injuries. To prevent the worst, we must reverse this unhealthy trend.

Swedish designers, Hannah Billqvist and Anna Glansén from the company Tomorrow Machine, they started setting new guidelines already in 2012, when they launched the project This Too Shall Pass, which is based on biodegradable food packaging. Some packaging even has more than just the function of keeping food in its place, as it also serves as a cooking vessel or a serving bowl. Some food even "hatches" itself, as the packaging is opened when the food in it reaches a certain temperature, and at the end of use it ends up in the compost and not in the dishwasher.
She is also interesting sustainable "expandable" bowl (The Sustainable Expanding Bowl), in its original form a flat hexagon made of cellulose, which hosts dry frozen food, which is cooked when boiling water is added, while the geometric figure turns into a bowl.
She is also attractive "juice pack", which is a mixture of agar (agar)ja - a yellowish-white gelatinous substance obtained by extracting certain seaweeds and water. As we empty the contents, it begins to pull together like the lips of a child tasting a lemon for the first time. After less than a month, the packaging almost deflates.
Packaging for dry food such as rice and pasta is made from beeswax and remove it like peeling an orange.
Beeswax is also an environmentally friendly part packaging for oils, which floats in a ball from caramelized sugar and which opens like cracking an egg. "Glass" breaks down in contact with water, but don't forget to remove the shards from the oil, unless you like oil with sugar.
