Rolls-Royce has proven with the Spectre that going electric doesn't mean giving up luxury. With the second series of the model – the Spectre Series II – the British brand from Goodwood goes a step further: it presents the most powerful production Rolls-Royce ever, yet remains so quiet that it could be mistaken for a ghost. The name "Spectre" in this context is no coincidence.
Rolls-Royce has proven with the Spectre that going electric doesn't mean giving up luxury. With the second series of the model – Spectre Series II – but the British brand from Goodwood goes a step further: it presents the most powerful production Rolls-Royce ever, which nevertheless remains so quiet that it could be mistaken for a ghost. The name “Spectre” in this context is no coincidence.
The most powerful Rolls-Royce of all time
The crown of the most powerful model is held by the version Black Badge Spectre Series IIIn Spirited Mode, it develops 670 “horses” (HP) and what 813 lb-ft (approx. 1,102 Nm) of torque – numbers we haven't seen from Goodwood before. The standard Spectre Series II makes do with 593 hp and 749 lb-ft (approx. 1,015 Nm) of torque, which is still more than enough for a car of this weight and purpose.
The essence of a Rolls-Royce is not, of course, acceleration, but the way it delivers power. Even at its most powerful, it is a calm, silent surge of power – no drama, no noise, just a feeling of infinite reserve under your right foot.
Greater range and NACS connection
Range is key for an electric car, and Rolls-Royce has made strides here. The Spectre Series II is rated by the US EPA to carry up to 308 miles (approx. 496 km) with one charge, which is 16 percent more as in the first series. Another important innovation is the standard connector NACS, which opens the door for owners to Tesla's Supercharger network - a practical move that makes everyday life with a car easier for many customers.
A timeless silhouette that stays true to itself
Visually, the Spectre Series II remains true to the silhouette we've known since its premiere in 2022 - a fastback profile, split headlights and clean, subdued surfaces. The changes are therefore considered and restrained, fully in line with the brand's logic of never following fashion fads.
Rims that require six hours of manual labor
Among the real innovations stand out: new 23-inch forged aluminum wheels, where each instance requires as six hours of manual finishingA new shade completes the color palette Ethereal Blue, inspired by the marine environment. These are details that we may overlook at a cursory glance, but they are precisely where the essence of the brand lies.
Interior: bamboo fabric and a sky made of 8,108 lights
Inside the cabin, Rolls-Royce once again shows why it is the benchmark for luxury. The key innovation is Duality Twill – fabric made from rayon derived from bamboo, for which the manufacturer uses up to 10 miles (approx. 16 km) of threadLeather Placed Perforation is pierced with 78,138 precise holes, which make up the cloud motif. The entire width of the dashboard is crossed by an illuminated trim with 8,108 points of light, which resemble pixels.
Price and finish
The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II is on sale with a price starting at around 420,000 dollars. This is not a car for everyone – it was never intended to be. But it is compelling proof that electric and high-end luxury can coexist without compromise, and that the future of luxury doesn't need a drop of petrol. Just silence, power and obsessive attention to detail.
