Should airport runways be round?

"Infinite" circular runway

Should airport runways be round? This would make them more ecological, make less noise, and make landing safer.

They will airport runways in the future round? In favor of 'infinite' and slightly inclined runways, which surrounds the airport, says quite a few things, according to the author of the idea, a Dutch aviation expert Henk Hesselink, who is employed at the aviation center Netherlands Aerospace Centre. In this case, the planes could take off and land at different points in the circle, thereby avoiding the danger crosswind, which repeatedly causes problems for the pilots when landing the plane and can dangerously toss the plane around.

For passengers, this does not mean significant differences, as the pitch on landing will be similar to a slight turn of the plane in the air, and due to centrifugal forces the plane will go on landing automatically slower and towards the center of the circle. So passengers won't feel like they're on a death train. Such a runway - its diameter is 3.5 kilometers, which means that the airport can be located right inside the circle - it is equal to the length of three classic straight runways and enables the take-off of three or forehead four planes at the same time. In addition, they allow aircraft to burn less fuel and more expedient distribution of noise, as planes can land from the desired direction.
