Are you tempted by an electric vehicle? Would an electric car be an ideal choice for a second car at home? Then the new Twingo ZE will be a vehicle that you don't have to think about too much. Its price will be more than favorable. According to unofficial information, electrification starts already at a price of 10,000 euros. Which is great!
Renault in recent years indeed invests rapidly in electrification and diligently applies for a multitude of patents. The group has such an electric ZOE and Nissan Leaf. Cars that strongly lead in their segments and in some way open up the market. But the market needs an entry-level electric vehicle that can and knows how to change many things Renault do the right thing with an electric Twingo! Mainly because of the price, which for an entry-level model can turn around 10,000 euros. This will make the Twingo the cheapest by far electric car on the market.
Twingo will be more modest than most other electric vehicles on the Slovenian market. But it must be taken into account that most of them cost at least twice as much as the Twingo, even when incentives are taken into account. The electric Twingo is thus powered by an engine with 81 hp and 160 Nm of torque, which is more than enough for this car. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes a solid 11.2 seconds, but the car has extra good acceleration up to 50 km/h, which it reaches in 4.2 seconds. Great for urban low starts. The maximum speed is limited to 135 km/h, which is more than enough for city bypasses! The battery has a fairly small capacity, 22 kWh, which is sufficient for the range of this little one (according to the WLTP-U cycle) to about 190 km. The battery cannot be charged at DC fast chargers, but only at fast chargers alternating current, but this is enough even considering the small capacity. On such a fast charger, the battery will 22 kWh filled in just 63 minutes. So in an hour from zero to 100 percent.
Trim levels are in Renault's familiar package scheme. The most basic, i.e. the one for around 10,000 euros, does not have air conditioning. Unofficially, the richest Intense equipment should cost around 15,000 euros, if we subtract the eco subsidy. Which is nicely equipped electric car good, what good, great price. There is no official information from the Slovenian Renault yet, but sales should start soon. Alas, this electrified man comes from New city, which we should be especially proud of!
