Youth is beautiful, but life is (even) better with age

Research shows that life wisdom leads to greater happiness and greater self-confidence. This means that your 30s are a good time to embrace life and not give up on your crazy college or high school days. Experts point out 5 reasons why life gets better with age.

1. We become more grateful

In contrast to your teenage years, when you were plagued by changes in behavior and perhaps excessive self-criticism, you can be more grateful for the little things in your later years - by this we mean mainly the thirties and forties. A moment of peace, a warm bath, a hug from a loved one or a Saturday dinner with the family will cheer you up. At this age, you should understand that expensive clothes do not necessarily mean happiness, nor that you need to prove yourself to others in this regard. Over the years, you learn which people are by your side and that you can rely on them. Which used to be seemed like insoluble problemsm, is in fact a solvable problem, but you have to take responsibility and stake matters into your own hands and don't hesitate to ask for advice.

2. The 30s are great for achievements

Given that people in their late twenties - some sooner, some later - realize what they want out of life, the thirties are great years for personal and business achievements. In twenty years, you may not have had enough experience and resources for them, but over the years you have honed your knowledge and your "I". These years can be great and bring you some milestones, but also a sense of accomplishment.

3. You wonder what you can enjoy

People in their late twenties like to prove themselves and engage in work to 'get ahead' of the competition. This is often due to a need in the labor market. Over the years, however, one learns how it's important to slow down, not running exclusively after material things, but trying to get to know yourself and live the life you really want. Everyday becomes valuable and perhaps long-term plans are replaced by short-term ones. You simply learn that sometimes you have to put yourself first and break out of a routine you're not happy with.

4. Harder or easier life is a matter of perception

Over the years, the human brain develops, so we become better equipped to deal with different things. Life is made up of a thousand and one events, and we humans often stress ourselves out with unimportant things. The advantage of more mature years is that such energy is redirected to more useful purposes.

5. You become more confident as you age

You know how much you can handle and how much you still want. You are aware of their abilities and potential, but also weak points. And you probably didn't realize this in your teenage years, which many would like to return to. By growing up one must learn responsibility, decision-making and independence, while maintaining curiosity, optimism and perseverance.

Although you will face a series of good and bad moments over the years, you could convince yourself of your strength and admit out loud that these years you have and these experiences you are gathering are really beautiful. Enjoy your happiness and do not look for lost years. Accept and love yourself along the way.
