Recipe for Chocolate Beer Cake:

Ingredients for chocolate cake with beer:

  • 3 dl of dark beer
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 100 grams of cocoa powder
  • 330 grams of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 baking powder
  • 250 grams of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • salt

Dressing witha chocolate cake with beer:

  • 30 g of butter
  • 80 ml of Irish whiskey
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 120 ml of sweet cream

The process of making a chocolate cake with beer:
First, grease and flour the cake pan, and even before that, heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Mix the flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and cocoa powder in one bowl, and beat the butter and sugar with a mixer in the other. When it becomes fluffy, mix in the eggs and vanilla extract, and then the mixture from the other bowl. Mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, but it must not be mixed too much. Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake for 45 to 55 minutes. If it is baked, the best way to check is by sticking a toothpick into the cake. The cake is baked if it comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for an hour, then take it out. Next is the preparation of the dressing. We heat the sugar, to which we have added two tablespoons of water, on moderate heat until it becomes dark brown in color. Then pour whiskey over it and set it on fire with a match. When it stops burning, add the sweet cream and bring to a boil. When it boils a bit, set it aside and mix in the butter and pour it over the cake while it's still warm. Have a good run and cheers!
