10 simple tips on how to take care of your hair in winter

Both winter and summer are extremely unfavorable seasons for our hair if we do not know how to take care of it in the right way. Low temperatures, wind, rain, snow, central heating and dry air. All this leaves consequences on the hair and damages your hair. In order for hair to remain healthy and shiny even in winter, it needs protection.

And here are 10 simple tips on how to care for your hair in winter.

1. Protection with headgear

It is important that in winter cover your hair with a cap or scarf to protect it from drying out due to exposure to cold air, rain and snow, otherwise your hair will become brittle. Wool, cotton and similar materials can also cause hair breakage, so the cap should be lined with silk or satin. To avoid static electricity, use a dry oil or oil spray before applying the cap, as these contain natural minerals that nourish and add shine to the hair.

2. Humidifiers

Because the air in the rooms we stay in during the winter is extremely dry, it causes hair loss they dry faster. If possible, make sure you have humidifiers in your hair dryers, as these provide natural moisture to your hair.

3. Go to the hairdresser regularly

Hair should be trimmed every 4 to 8 weeks to keep it healthy and shiny. It is enough to remove an inch or two of hair ends to prevent damage.

4. Do not use hot water

Although a warm shower is something you look forward to the most, it can dry out your hair, leaving it brittle and lacking shine. Wash them with lukewarm water and rinse with cold.

It would be better to let your hair dry on its own, as blow-drying increases the chance that to break. If you dry them without a hair dryer, you will definitely preserve their health and beauty. Wash your hair in the evening and let it dry while you sleep.

6. Don't leave the house with wet hair

Wet hair is much more sensitive than dry, and if you walk with wet hair in cold air, it can freeze and break, and you can also get sick.

7. Use of oil

When the cold air damages your hair, restore it with the help of oil humidity. Use light, dry oils and apply them gently to the ends of your hair every day.

8. Use of conditioner

Caring for your hair is a priority come winter, so apply conditioner to your hair and leave it in for a few minutes. This step is especially important if you always style your hair with a blow dryer and flat iron.

9. Don't forget the mask

Like face masks, hair masks should be a part of your care and can help a lot injury prevention because of the cold air. It is usually recommended to keep them on the hair for 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

10. Do not wash your hair too often

If you wash your hair every day, it's time for a change. Washing your hair too often will scalp irritante and deprived it of natural oils that serve as protection. This is especially important in cold temperatures. Try to wash your hair as infrequently as possible, so if you wash your hair every day, try to wait three days before washing again, or use dry shampoo or powder powder.
