Audi Q8 e-tron Edition Dakar it's not just another electric SUV. He is a true adventurer who combines technology and a passion for unbridled driving. Inspired by the Dakar Rally, this special model comes with a raised chassis and optional decals reminiscent of the RS Q e-tron designed for the Dakar Rally with an electric drive system and energy converter. This special AudiQ8 e-tron Edition Dakar is a limited edition with exceptional off-road specifications, including rugged tires and raised suspension. It hides under the skin Audi 55 e-tron quattro, with 57mm wider wheel arches and an extension of the air suspension by 65mm in the new off-road mode, which required around 70 new components.
In terms of performance, it remains unchanged with a peak of 402 hp in boost mode provided by two electric motors and a huge 114kWh battery. The official range is reduced from the standard 499-560 kilometers to 452 kilometers (281 miles), which is partly due to the use of fatter off-road tires for WLTP testing, rather than the standard 20-inch wheels and tires.
Despite initial skepticism, the model turns out to be surprisingly attractive, with a raised undercarriage, a spare wheel on a roof rack and General Grabber AT3 off-road tires, which are so robust that the 18-inch wheels could wear crocodile skin.
