That's the average amount of sex your peers are having!

Are you wondering how much is too little and how much is just right?!

Have you ever wondered how much sex is normal? It's really hard to say what the "right amount of sex" is for an individual to have, but if you've ever wondered how you compare to your peers, a study by the renowned Kinsey Institute offers the answer.

A recently published study shows that it is old age that factor that affects the amount of sex that an individual can "handle" in a certain period of life. Of course, age is not an important factor in performing sexual activities.

"The fact that emerged from these studies is that as we get older, the chances of developing chronic health problems increase, which in turn has a negative effect on the frequency and quality of sexual activities," wrote Dr. Justin Lehmiller, principal investigator of the Kinsey Institute.

Lack of sexual activity under the sheets can lead to frustration and the breakdown of an otherwise good relationship.
Lack of sexual activity under the sheets can lead to frustration and the breakdown of an otherwise good relationship.

Therefore, the research does not serve up surprises. Let's look at the average sexual activity in the following demographic groups:

  • 18-29 years old is the age group that has the most sex - which 112 times annually, which means twice a week on average  (relation to 3.2 days);
  • 30-39 years old during these years, the number of sexual relations drops on average by about 22 percentage points, but still quite 86 times annually (relation to 4.2 days);
  • 40-49 years old in this age group, however, they have sex on average 69 times per year, which can be translated into one sexual intercourse per week (relation to 5.2 days).

However, it is important to note that the results of any study it shouldn't affect your view of sexuality, as several studies show different results. Last year, another study showed that women in The 36th year actually those, who claimed to be the most sexually active. And yet another study found that women feel sexiest when they are in their mid-30s, suggesting that self-confidence levels can increase with age. And that may lead us to have a better sex life as we get older. So, even if we basically have less sex, we do with aging the quality of sex relationship bigger.

The researchers also found that 13 percent of married couples have intercourse only a few times a year, 45 percent he does this a few times a month, 34 percent make love two to three times a week and seven percent of couples do the nicest thing four or more times each week.

Sexuality between two partners is definitely one of the strongest bonds in a partnership, which helps both individuals to solve common problems in the partnership even in difficult times. Without a healthy amount of sexuality, fence jumping often happens. Some research also shows that cheating is most often the result of the lack of a healthy amount of intimacy between partners.
