Have you come to the realization that a vision board - a collage of pictures, affirmations and other visual representations of goals, aspirations and desires - is not working?

It's true it does not work if there are no points of contact with reality.

When you stick beautiful, inspiring pictures on the board that are hundreds of thousands of steps away from who you are and where you are today, it has nothing to do with you, because you have a hard time identifying with it.

The board should be inspiring, yes motivates you and wives, but if you're living paycheck to paycheck these days and have a board house with a pool in Bali, it's most likely going to be a nice house far away from you.

The vision of your desired life must have points of contact with who you are and where you are today.

You can surround yourself with beautiful pictures, you can move to another city, physically transform and even change your name to change your identity, but if you don't change your thoughts and the emotions that those thoughts create every day, you're in a vicious circle actions and frustrations.

What is selfboard: the vision starts with you!

Your board is a vision of your future, but it should also be a reflection of your introspection, the details known only to you, which you know exactly what they mean.

It should correlate with you and reflect the best version of you in the future. For it to serve its purpose and truly encourage you, you have to believe that it is possible.

As with affirmations, they must be believable to you in order for you to relate to them. You have to believe in your words and in your dreams to make them come true. They won't happen by themselves.

The intention with which you create the board and the focus on the transformation you want to achieve are very important.

How to make a selfboard?

Take time for yourself and get to work. When you create a selfboard, you will feel something shift within you - you will begin to change the story you believe.

Place your picture in the middle of the big canvas and start answering the following questions in a circle around the picture and intuitively add pictures, details, words that will be your answers to the questions below.

Start by creating positive patterns of yourself in life roles. Answers should reflect the qualities and characteristics you want to have.

Selfboard is a tool for personal reflection – reflection and the questions you answer. The answers to it may vary depending on your individual goals and needs.

– Who am I?

What are my values?

– What are my goals and desires?

What are my strengths and weaknesses?

– What makes me happy?

What accomplishments am I most proud of?

– What challenges did I encounter and how did I overcome them?

– What is my definition of success?

What things do I want to learn?

These are just a few examples, and you can add or change questions based on your needs and goals. It is a flexible tool that you can adapt to your specific needs and preferences.
