  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • ½ tablespoon of lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon of salt

Process:

Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle, into which crumble the yeast, pour in a little warm milk and add a spoonful of sugar. Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
Place egg yolks, remaining sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, lemon juice and rum in a small bowl. Mix all the ingredients into a smooth mixture.
Add softened butter, beaten egg yolks and a little warm milk to the rising yeast and mix carefully. Gradually add the remaining milk while mixing. We mix until we get a flexible dough. Shape the dough into a loaf, sprinkle with flour, cover with a warm cloth and leave to rise for at least 30 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to the thickness of your finger and cut out small circles with the help of a cookie cutter. Place them on a floured board and make sure they don't touch each other. Add the oil and heat it to about 170 degrees. The oil will be heated enough when bubbles appear on the stove. Carefully place the donuts in the oil. Cover the pan with a lid while baking. Let them cook until golden, then turn them over and wait for them to cook on the other side. This time the container is not covered with a lid. Drain the fried donuts on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Ingredients for homemade vanilla cream:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 4 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 90g of flour
  • 600 ml of milk

Process:

Boil 500 ml of milk in a container. Mix the egg yolks, half the sugar, flour and 100 ml of milk well and add to the boiled milk. Stir constantly and set aside when a pudding-like mixture is obtained. Beat the egg whites, the second half of the sugar and the vanilla sugar into snow and carefully mix it into the hot "pudding". Fill the donuts with the help of a syringe, but you can also cut them and spread vanilla cream between the two halves.
