Pleasantly refreshing and exhilarating, sangria is an alcoholic drink that originated in Spain and is basically made with lots of fresh cut fruit and red wine. Since it's strawberry season, we have an easy recipe for a refreshing summer cocktail that will be a great addition to any summer party.

Ingridients:

  • 0.75 l of chilled rosé wine
  • 2 – 3 baskets of strawberries
  • 50 ml of strawberry or raspberry syrup
  • 150 ml of water, soda or orange juice - depending on taste
  • fresh mint
  • ice

Preparation:

Wash the strawberries, remove the stalks and cut them. Use about 1/3 of the strawberries to make the syrup, you will need the rest at the end of the process.

The strawberries you cut earlier mash well and put them in the pan. Add three spoons of sugar and all together boil slightly (10 minutes), stirring occasionally to combine strawberry puree. Prepare a strainer and strain the strawberry syrup. Press the strawberries with a spatula so that all the liquid drains away. Set aside the prepared syrup to cool.

To make the cocktail faster, you can also replace the strawberry syrup with raspberry juice.

Add 150 ml of orange juice, water or soda (depending on taste), remaining sliced strawberries, ice, fresh mint and a bottle of chilled rose wine to the prepared strawberry syrup. Mix all the ingredients lightly to combine into a delicious aroma and cool well.
