Some time ago, Li Auto launched its first all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) – the Mega. This luxury electric minivan impresses with exceptional technology and performance and sets new standards in the family vehicle segment.

Li Auto despite its relatively short presence on the market, has become a popular car manufacturer in China, selling 800,000 vehicles annually. Their latest creation, the Li Mega, is the first all-electric model and the most expensive car they've ever produced. The price of this luxury MPV starts at RMB 559,800 (EUR 72,073), which puts it at the top of the segment. But he has some trump cards, the likes of which have not been seen in the entire automotive industry.

Best aerodynamics & fastest charging

The Li Mega is designed with aerodynamics in mind, as evidenced by its extremely low drag coefficient of 0.215. This value is among the best in the automotive industry and is significantly lower than most other vehicles, including some of Europe's most advanced electric sedans such as the Volkswagen ID.7 and Mercedes-Benz EQS. With its massive 102.7 kWh battery, made up of Qilin cells from CATL, the Mega gives the CLTC a range of 710 km (441 miles).

Mega is truly a champion in the world of electric vehicle charging. No vehicle in the world charges faster or more impressively than this one. With incredible charging speed 555 kW it can charge its battery from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes. This means that in 11 minutes you can charge enough energy for about 334 kilometers of driving on the highway. When we talk about real "consumption" at highway speeds.

Durability 20 years ahead of the Europeans

The interior of the vehicle is a true oasis of luxury. The seats are equipped with inductive charging stations, some also have air cooling for the phone, where every passenger can charge their phone. A beverage cooling system, an adjustable cinema monitor and rear seat child monitoring cameras are just some of the many advanced features offered by the Mega. Each seat has an inductive charging surface, which adds even more value to this luxury vehicle. Of course, the car is controlled by voice commands, which is slowly becoming the standard in China.

The user interface in Mega is intuitive and easy to use. The vehicle is equipped with a state-of-the-art infotainment system that includes a large touch screen, providing easy access to navigation, media and other functions. The voice control system allows the driver to easily control various vehicle functions without taking their eyes off the road.

The Mega also boasts a high build quality. The interior is lined with leather, and plastic is kept to a minimum. All surfaces are soft to the touch, which gives a feeling of true luxury. The vehicle has 21 speakers, which provides an exceptional sound experience and is truly a home cinema on wheels.

When we compare the Mega to other vehicles in the segment, it stands out for its advanced technologies and luxury equipment. European electric minivans like the Mercedes EQV simply cannot match the technology and performance offered by the Mega. The build quality and use of premium materials in the Mega set new standards in the industry.

The Li Mega is powered by two engines with a total output of 400 kW (536 hp) and 542 Nm of torque, which enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.5 seconds. These are exceptional capabilities for a vehicle intended for family use or a business van.

Bottom line: It's a Chinese CyberVan and a true Mega

The Mega is a real gem in the world of electric vehicles. Its combination of luxury, technology and performance is unmatched. It seems that the Chinese, without looking at the past and with a clean sheet of paper, are really designing cars that are ahead of the European competition in many ways today. Above all, one can see their desire to make things better. At the same time, we can also see innovation and ideas in their cars that are not found elsewhere, which indicates that they are capable of more. Li Auto Mega is proof that the future of motoring is already here and it comes from China. And the price if the car were to come to Europe?! Experts predict that a well-equipped car would cost around 115,000 euros, which is still much cheaper than the European competition.
