Range Rover continues to set standards in luxury and performance. This time we are greeted with a new version of the high-performance SUV, the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV, which puts at the heart a twin supercharged 4.4-liter V8 engine with hybrid technology borrowed from BMW.
First, a new power unit, replacing the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, always offers 626 horses and 590 pounds (800Nm) of torque. That's 59 hp and 74 lb-ft (100 Nm) more than before. If you engage Dynamic Launch Mode, this beast gives you the maximum of these values, and in normal operation the torque is reduced to 551 lb-ft (750 Nm).
Range Rover Sport SV, which weighs just 2,560 kg (5,644 lbs), can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in everything 3.6 seconds and reaches a speed of up to 180 mph (290 km/h). That's impressive performance for a petrol SUV that proves it's not all about weight.
What's more, the SUV boasts a special SV mode that lowers the vehicle by additional 15 mm (0.6 inch) ter improves throttle response, steering and response speed of the eight-speed automatic transmission.
As the icing on the cake, it offers a new one 2024 Range Rover Sport SV another special feature – seats with built-in transducers. These built-in mechanisms in the seats vibrate to the music played through the 29-speaker, 1430-watt Meridian sound system. Thus, the driver and passenger can not only hear, but also "feel" the music. The seats, known as Body and Soul Seats (BASS), also offer a wellness program with six specially developed tracks (Poise, Soothe, Serene, Cool, Tonic, Glow) that promise to calm and relax.
