Electrification will also reach the sporty Audi model R8, which is available in a special and limited edition only with an internal combustion engine for the last time. The Audi R8 V10 GT RWD is thus the last R8 with a mighty V10 cylinder.
Audi R8 V10 GT RWD combines the power of the R8 Quattro with the lightness of the R8 RWD. Atmospheric 5.2 liter gasoline engine produces 612 horsepower and 565 newton meters of torque. All the horsepower is sent to the newly developed rear wheel pair 7-speed and the dual-clutch gearbox shifts faster than ever before.
For even better power utilization, the last ʺclassicʺ R8 lost 20 kilograms. The athlete with a mid-mounted engine weighs 1,570 kilograms, and he lost weight thanks to 20-inch forged rims, shell seats and the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. With more power and less weight, the R8 GT RWD starts from 0 to 100 km/h in everything 3.4 seconds, after 10.1 seconds and the speedometer is already pointing 200 km/h. The final speed that the ʺlastʺ R8 is capable of is 320 km/h.
For easier identification between the individual R8 models, the limited edition has the Audi logo and the inscription R8 GT in black. The aerodynamic package, which is made of carbon fiber and finished in the wind tunnel, has also been refined. The interior is finished in black with red accents, and each car will have a limited edition number on the gear lever. It will only be available 333 specimens of the latest R8 V10, all of them will be available only in the Coupe version, and each one will have to be deducted in the German market 225,000 euros.
