EV3 will use the same E-GMP platform as its bigger brothers EV6 and EV9. This means it will have similar advanced technology and performance. The EV3 will be available with two different battery capacities: 58.0 kWh or 81.4 kWh. The larger battery will allow up to 560 kilometers (350 miles) of range on the European WLTP cycle, which is very competitive in its class. Both versions use a 150 kW/283 Nm electric motor, which enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The KIA EV3 stands out with its advanced technology and the ability to choose a battery according to the needs of users. The range of up to 600 km is exceptional for a compact SUV, which is sure to attract buyers looking for a reliable electric vehicle for longer distances.

The KIA EV3 supports DC fast charging with a power of up to 125 kW for the larger battery (81.4 kWh) and 101 kW for the smaller battery (58.3 kWh). This allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 31 minutes, a very competitive charging time in the compact electric SUV segment. For standard charging via AC sockets, the KIA EV3 supports charging with a power of up to 11 kW, allowing the battery to be charged at home or at public DC charging stations. The charging speed of the 2024 is a little disappointing, but it could be that Kia realized that it charges cars more consistently than the competition and thus achieves comparable charging times.

KIA EV3 looks promising in terms of specs, as it uses the same advanced platform as the bigger models, ensuring reliability and performance. Two different battery capacities offer the possibility to choose according to the needs of users, which is definitely a plus.

KIA EV3 with its length of 430 cm (169.3 inches), it will be slightly shorter than the KIA Seltos, which means that it will offer a compact size, ideal for city driving. Despite its small size, the EV3 will offer a spacious interior with two 31.2 cm (12.3-inch) screens and an optional head-up display.

The compact size of the EV3 is ideal for city driving, while the spacious interior and advanced technology such as large screens and head-up display add value to this model. This indicates a well-thought-out design aimed at user comfort.

The interior of the EV3 will be full of advanced technology. Various safety systems will be included, such as lane-keep assist, highway driving assist and automatic emergency braking. One of the standout features of the EV3 will be the V2L (vehicle-to-load) system, which allows the car to act as a portable battery, meaning it can power devices such as hair dryers or coffee makers directly from the car.

In addition, the KIA EV3 will feature a new one-pedal driving system called i-Pedal 3.0, which enables adaptive regenerative braking via switches on the steering wheel.

KIA has yet to reveal an official price, but the EV3 is expected to cost around €30,000. That price point could make the EV3 a very attractive option in the electric vehicle market, especially given the features and performance it promises.
