What makes pu-erh tea so special? It is a green tea that is blacker than the blackest tea in the world. It is believed to be the oldest tea sourced from the southwestern part of China's Yunnan province, the land of eternal spring. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, tea has the properties of yin and yang, which together represent a dynamic whole and keep the body in balance. According to the method of production, the tea is very different from the production of other teas and with its rich, strong and earthy taste reigns at the very top.

The real secret always remains hidden, so tea cultivation is still a well-kept secret due to tradition and history. Much is otherwise known about tea production processes, but The Chinese, as usual, they say a lot, but not the essentials. Poo-erh after classic fermentation, they are inoculated with noble microorganisms, exposed to high humidity and only then dried. It is this process that gives the tea its special color and distinct taste.

Preparation:
Making pu-erh tea is not difficult. Measure a teaspoon of tea leaves onto a cup and pour boiling water over them. Leave the leaves in the water for four to five minutes, then strain the tea. Quality types of pu-erh tea can be used multiple times. Chinese people drink pu-erh tea in a traditional Chinese cup called gaiwan. They drink it slowly and for so long that the world begins to slowly but steadily change... as the Chinese proverb says: traditional pu-erh is made by grandparents and drunk by grandchildren.
