Princess donuts (cream puffs) will win you over at the first bite. The pastry is made from choux pastry and filled with whipped cream, egg cream or pastry cream. Choux pastry is a light, airy pastry that puffs up when baked to create a hollow center that can be filled with a variety of sweet or savory fillings.

It is believed that princess donuts (cream puffs) originated in France in the 16th century and were known in French as “choux à la crème”. They are today a popular dessert all over the world and are often found in bakeries, pastry shops and restaurants.

In addition to being filled with whipped cream, egg cream or pastry cream, they can also be topped with various toppings such as powdered sugar, chocolate ganache or caramel sauce.
