During the fermentation process, shake the jug several times to prevent yeast growth. If they appear, remove them and shake again. If there is too much yeast, kefir is not edible. Every time you shake the kefir, lift the lid to release the carbon dioxide. Kefir is ready when the kefir grains solidify at the top of the jar. Strain the liquid to remove them. You can enhance the taste of kefir with a spoonful of vanilla or mix it with fruit. Have a good run!
