How to make it through the week: motivation for every working day

You know how it is - the week starts, Monday doesn't want to end, then it's Tuesday and you feel like Friday will never come.

Every weekday seems incredibly long, Wednesday lasts at least two days, and the weekend seems out of reach. Relax and let things slide forward on their own.

You just need a little motivation to get better organized and you'll feel different.

Ahead of you is motivation and inspiration for every working day of the week!

Monday: the beginning of the week

For many, Monday is the worst working day - the weekend has gone by at the speed of light, you haven't even rested, and you already have to get up and go to work. If you tried to catch up on sleep over the weekend, you did disrupt your weekly routine and your circadian rhythm – that's why Monday is hard.

The body is trying to get back into rhythm, while still suffering the consequences of the change in rhythm (which you want to maintain), so you feel more tired and more stressed than usual.

But you can control your thoughts and feelings more than you think. Just one a small positive thought in the morning can direct the rest of the day.

Change the mindset that you hate Mondays. Instead of thinking about how to get through the week, consider that Monday offers the perfect opportunity to plan your week, be as productive and engaged as possible, and get a lot done before the weekend comes around again.

Replace the thought “ugh, another week” with the thought “new beginning, new chapter”. Instead of "Monday is terrible" think "I'm ready" - this could set a good note for the rest of the week.

Tuesday: the hardest working day

Despite the common belief that Monday is the worst day of the week, research shows that it actually is Tuesday – it may feel like the week has just begun, but it may seem (due to a busy Monday) that the whole week is already behind you and you're wondering how it is possible that it's only Tuesday.

So make it Tuesday exercise day - the endorphins released during exercise will help you overcome Tuesday's challenges. Start your day with something special, maybe a cup of coffee that you don't drink every day, or take ten minutes in the morning to do something that fills you with joy.

Think about an ideal day at work - how things should go and what you should do - close your eyes and imagine it, and then carry that feeling with you throughout the day.

How to beat Wednesday

Wednesday means you're halfway there. Don't think too much, move on.

Break tasks down into smaller tasks, set small steps that you will follow as you complete the tasks. Play music that lifts your energy. Clean up your workspace.

Motivation and inspiration for Thursday

It's a good day, full of hope, and your gloomy mood is usually lifted by now. The weekend is in sight, Thursday is Good Friday. But that doesn't mean you can slow down or have less work to do.

In fact, you should think of Thursday as opportunity, to accelerate and achieve more, and the motivation and inspiration should be the desire to finish everything that has accumulated and is left for Monday and before Friday. Reward yourself with an evening out, dinner with friends or dinner with a loved one. Celebrate Thursday.

Friday: last working day

Friday is a work day to ease obligations, so if possible, save your favorite tasks for this day. You will be motivated to complete them with ease and feel that you have been successful and productive.

For Friday night or for the weekend plan something that makes you happy and entertainment. It can give you the extra motivation and inspiration you need to enjoy your Friday.

Change your thinking and motivation and inspiration will follow.

It all starts with your mindset and attitude. Whenever you feel down, think about how you could think differently. You can ask someone how they are coping, you can share experiences and feelings. Some days will still be harder than others, some Mondays will still be worse than some Tuesdays, but you can make each day easier and better!
